Set in the time that slavery was accepted, a field worker and a white woman fell in love. When the plantation boss found out he sent his men after the field worker and ordered them to kill him. Instead, they shot the young woman by mistake. She ordered her love to run because if he did not he would be killed and all hope would be lost. After he left he discovered his love's wounds had become infected and she was dying. Returning would be pointless suicide. He then discovered a shaman who was able to give him an opportunity to bring his lover back from the dead. However, it came with a horrifying price to pay.
